Basic Photography for Point and Shoot Cameras 
$45.00+HST per person pre-registration required.

If you own an expensive DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera and a bag of lenses this course is NOT for you...
Join me for this fascinating introduction series about & how you can use your "point and shoot" camera to create and capture much better images than you ever dreamed.
This “basics photography workshop” will increase your confidence with your camera. You will learn about your camera controls, we’ll touch on light and shadow, some tips & tricks and learn about close ups, portraits and scenery. We’ll also cover “developing a photographic eye," simple composition and most importantly how to have fun and get great results with your camera.To add additional value to our group session, I will send you a simple questionnaire, three questions. This will enable us to save some time for more interesting, exciting / learning activities, if I can get through the administrative / technical items prior to the actual event. Please reply before at least2-3 days prior to the course if possible.

Basic Photography for DSLR Cameras 
$45.00+HST per person pre-registration required.
3 hours, limited to 9 students (Min. 4 students)

This event is geared towards those who own a "Digital Single Lens Reflex” camera i.e. NOT Point & Shoot Cameras (if you have a camera that allows you to take the lens off /change lenses, chances are it is a DSLR "Digital Single Lens Reflex" camera) and this event is for you. The object of this event is to increase your confidence with your camera, learn a little about light, some tricks on how to get better results, seeing with a "photographic eye," simple understanding of the controls and most importantly how to have fun and get great results with your camera.
To add additional value to our group session, I will send you a simple questionnaire, three questions. This will enable us to save some time for more interesting, exciting / learning activities, if I can get through the administrative / technical items prior to the actual event. Going beyond Basic Composition 
$85.00 
+HST per person pre-registration required.
 Have you ever held your camera up to your eye, press the shutter button and then viewed the results and felt disappointed? Or perhaps you have, taken a photograph and upon reviewing the results thought, "that's not what I saw”
This event is geared towards those individuals who have a basic understanding of their camera and wish to create more compelling images.

One X 3 hours classroom (Min. 4 students)
One X 3 hours photo walk and class critique
Limit to 6 students.

In this unique and informative presentation you will review the basic elements of composition and we will explore and go beyond the "rule of thirds” to examine some of the psychology of the “WOW Factor,  The Command to Look, ”  and the four picture patterns or visual stimulus that catch our attention even before we recognize anything in the photograph In the corresponding photo walk you will put these newly discovered skills to work and join in the discussion and friendly exploration and critique that is to follow.

Private & Semi-Private Photography Classes / Lessons
In addition to workshops Larry offers private photography lessons and semi-private instruction, designed to answer your particular questions and help you master your photographic challenges, in a pleasant and enlightening manner.

Attending one of Larry's workshops with other students is certainly a fun and informative way to learn photographic techniques, however everyone is unique in the way they understand and retain information, as is your present skill level. Therefore the specific skills or information you are seeking may never be addressed in a workshop setting.  This is where private photography lessons come into play.  With a combination of one on one instruction, home assignments and subsequent review, plus accompanying Larry in field exercises, you are sure to have all your questions answered, improve your photographic abilities and retain this knowledge. 

Larry will develop a lesson plan based on your individual requirements & present level of experience indicating a time commitment that should adequately cover the skills you are wishing to improve or master. Lessons are quoted on an individual basis, sessions are a minimum of 2 hours, based on an instructional rate of $85.00/hour +HSTThe option of semi-private lessons i.e. you and a partner, friend or colleague is available at 100.00/hour ($50.00 each +HST) for the two of you.
